Gemini with Reasoning Tools

1. Add the following code to your Python file

   gemini_reasoning_tools.py

   from agno.agent import Agent
   from agno.models.google import Gemini
   from agno.tools.reasoning import ReasoningTools
   from agno.tools.hackernews import HackerNewsTools
   
   reasoning_agent = Agent(

2. Set up your virtual environment

   Mac

   uv venv --python 3.12
   source .venv/bin/activate
   

   uv venv --python 3.12
   .venv\Scripts\activate
   
3. Install dependencies

   uv pip install -U agno google-genai ddgs
   
4. Export your Google API key

   Mac/Linux

     export GOOGLE_API_KEY="your_google_api_key_here"
   

     $Env:GOOGLE_API_KEY="your_google_api_key_here"
   
5. Run Agent

   python gemini_reasoning_tools.py
